The project orbital engine is the main focus of this blog, however I will be adding updates to the game I’m developing with it as well. project orbital is an open-source fps engine I’m developing almost completely from scratch. It will feature particles, lighting effects, muzzle flashes, scope/sights, modifiable weapons, a map editor, shaders, animation, and more.
The development kit for project orbital will be included with the source of the engine. The development kit will allow programmers to create their own content for their own games that use the project orbital engine. The development kit will include the map editor, the model converter, the weapon editor, the animation editor, the particle editor, and the preset creator.
